Four Hands, Two Sonatas follows two gifted young pianists whose lives become intertwined after they meet at an elite arts high school in South Korea. Kang Pi-o is a highly accomplished piano student known for his exceptional talent, discipline and relentless pursuit of perfection. His carefully controlled world changes when Choi Jeong-yo, a mysterious piano prodigy with a very different background, enters the same school. What begins as a clash between two musicians gradually develops into a complicated relationship shaped by competition, friendship, trust and ambition. Alongside them is Hong Jae-in, a talented viola student whose musical connection with Pi-o adds another dimension to their intertwined lives. As the students face demanding performances, personal expectations and difficult family circumstances, their ambitions extend far beyond the classroom. Music becomes both the source of their rivalry and the language through which they begin to understand one another. Four Hands, Two Sonatas is a Korean youth music drama about talent, friendship, rivalry, love and personal growth, following its characters from their school years toward their lives as professional musicians.
